Ready
The work of becoming capable of holding what you’re calling in.
There's a specific kind of anticipation that shows up every year around this time — not quite fall yet, not fully done with summer, but something in the light has already changed. You feel it before you can name it. And most of us respond to that feeling in one of a few ways: we brace for the change, overthink everything, or rush in. Rarely do we just ready ourselves for changes we know are coming (the inevitable seasons). Rarely do we allow ourselves to notice the subtleties of the transitions.
Readiness is a different posture than either bracing or rushing. It's not resistance, and it's not force. It's preparation — the deliberate, sometimes unglamorous work of becoming someone capable of holding what's coming, before it arrives.
This matters more than it sounds like it should, because most of what we call "manifesting" isn't really about asking for something. It's about becoming the kind of person who can recognize it, receive it, and keep it once it shows up. Our minds can still narrate old versions, old patterns and stories, whether it fits anymore or not. We have to consciously release and shift.
So before we talk about release — before we talk about letting go of what this season no longer needs — we're spending a week on readiness. Three places to start:
Ready the body. This is the part everyone wants to skip, and it's the part that makes everything else possible. A settled nervous system can actually notice a good thing when it arrives. Start absurdly small: a longer exhale than inhale, four times, before you reach for your phone in the morning. It's not a metaphor. It's physiology, and it's the fastest lever you have.

Ready the space. You don't have to overhaul your home this week. Pick one surface — a counter, a shelf, a drawer — that's still quietly holding onto summer, and clear it. Or perhaps you start with your yoga space. Notice what you want to put there instead. This is the part of manifesting that never makes it into the caption: you can't call something new into a space that's still full of the old thing.
Ready the mind. This one's the hardest, because it means questioning a story you might not even realize you're still telling. The version of you that got you through a season doesn't have to be the version that shows up in the next. Write down the story you're ready to stop telling about yourself, and next to it, write what you know to be true instead. You don't have to believe it fully yet. Just try to write it down.

None of this rushes the release that's coming. If anything, it's what makes the release possible — you can't let go of something you're still white-knuckling, and you can't hold something new with hands that are already full.
Next week, we talk about release. This week, we just get ready. And on Monday, the full Fall into Being season opens — new weekly themes through December, a full class collection, and the seasonal recipe guide we've been building since midsummer. If this week is the only thing you do to prepare for it, it's enough.
