Start Anywhere - Introducing The Wellness Digest

We all have those things we wish we did more often or ways we’d like to make better use of our precious time—right?  As it goes: life is a balancing act. It's about giving yourself grace on the nights you need to decompress with trash TV and a glass of wine, and also finding your strength in the resistance that comes with trying something new, even when we know it will make us feel better and supports how we want to grow.

Honestly, I got tired of hearing myself say “I want to read more,” “I used to love discovering new music, I need to make time for that again,” and “I’ll listen to that podcast on my way to work.” The desire to find inspiration and accountability around a monthly practice in consuming art, culture, ancient wisdom, stories, new music, and any expansive and creative energies, finally pulled me in. I genuinely feel so excited to clear out some ways that I am totally wasting my time, and tap into new wisdom through art (& science)! If I’ve learned anything through my yoga/movement and meditation journey, it’s to just start somewhere. Start anywhere. Instead of letting saved podcasts, book recommendations and new journals keep piling up, it’s time to prioritize reading, writing, and listening. The intention is to inspire wellness beyond “diet and exercise” for a more holistic approach  - expanding wellness into health of the mind, spirit, perspective, and community.

Accountability through community always increases my chances of sticking with a commitment. So, I created the Wild Grace Wellness Digest - a monthly recommendation to read, write, and listen. I’ll be pulling from some highly anticipated saved content, and also letting pieces reveal themselves to me in random moments - like this month’s “listen” recommendation that jumped out at me from Revival Records in New York City. Sometimes there will be a theme, sometimes not making sense is the fun of it, and also the point…to consume art, to be open, and to share thoughts that help us learn from new perspectives.
